Daring The Impossible for God

Calvary greetings! we wish to thank God for making the 2011 Agents of Change Conference a success. And we pray that God would indeed use all Agents of Change, where ever they may be under the face of the sun, to do the Impossible this year.
To Him alone be all the Glory

Fulfilling Our Role as Agents of Change in This End Time.

I Must do the work of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work…this is the declaration of the supreme Agent of Change himself-our Lord Jesus Christ. As agents of change we need to recognize that it is night, we are in the end times and thus like our Lord Jesus Christ, we must ensure we fulfil our God given task and mandate with a sense of urgency.
Furthermore, we need to understand that we will only achieve relevance before God when we act and labour in line with his written or express will as revealed in scriptures and as He instructs specifically. Only then will we be fulfilling our roles effectively, then our work will have eternal implication and we won’t be running in vain. So many of us are doing so many things and have committed ourselves here and there but we need to pause and ask ourselves is this what exactly God wants me to do or to be doing? May we not run in vain in Jesus name? Amen.
FULFILLING OUR ROLE IN THIS END TIME
Jude the bond servant of the lord Jesus and the Brother of James gives us insight into our times and offers counsel on what our roles should be- what we ought to do or to be doing. I am convinced that these instructions are for us today. He first of all describe the times as...
A time of mockers, apostates…and moral breakdown...
He spoke of apostates and mockers who will emerge and turn the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ into lasciviciousness and denying God and the Lord Jesus Christ…they separate themselves, sensual, walking after their own lust not having the spirit. Jude 4, 17, 18. He expounded on their character and actions…these men crept in unawares he says. Perhaps this is what we ought to know about these men. We are not talking of men outside the fold we are talking of men who have stolen their way in our midst to corrupt the faith. We are talking of some of the preachers on satellite TV, men who profess to be men of God but are actually ungodly going after strange flesh…going in the way of Cain, and running greedily after the error of Balaam for a reward…etc. Believe me this men are in our midst distorting the faith and leading many astray.
OUR ROLE IN THIS END TIME
It is in view of these that he exhorts us to;
-Contend earnestly for the faith...
To fight for the faith, this an active position we must take. We must be defenders of the faith. Paul says I have fought the fight ...I have kept the faith against the errors in our generation perversion of the gospel truth. We must ensure we preach and teach the whole counsel of God. Rebuff and speak against distortion.
-build our faith…praying in the Holy Ghost
Jude exhorts us further to not only contend for the faith but build ourselves in it. For this is the only way we can fight for it only when we build our own faith. We must be firmly rooted and well grounded in the faith. Our anchor must be sure and steadfast. We must not be like babes constantly changing our minds about what we believe. And as we do that we should be praying in the Holy Ghost...praying always in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and supplications.
-have compassion-making a difference...
How can we make a difference? By showing compassion and reaching out to the many men and women struggling with life, struggling with sin, sickness, hunger, poverty, social injustice, all form of abuse, demonic and satanic oppression on such men we must have compassion. Like the Good Samaritan we must stop on our way in the midst of our business and daily activities to offer help to these bruised and battered men. We must help them again on their feet; help them to receive healing and the redemption that Christ offers freely to all men.
-snatch men from fire …hating even the garment spotted with the flesh...
We are charged further to go further to snatch men from fire. Perhaps the reality of hell needs to dawn on us afresh so that urgency can be kindled in hearts to do whatever we can to rescue men from perishing in hell-fire. Many are blinded and deceived they are on the high way to the abyss of fire. As agents of change we must make evangelism and intercession a priority. We must strive for souls while we may. Whatever we are doing if souls are not being saved and delivered from eternal condemnation we are labouring in vain. Arise! Change Agents rescue the perishing care for the dying. But as you do that Jude says do it hating even the garment spotted with the flesh... Do it with care or caution, taking heed to your life lest after you preach to others you become a cast away at the end of the day!
-keep our selves in the love of Jesus…looking to his mercy
There is pollution all around, in the internet, media, and our schools everywhere. We are constantly being lured to go without, outside the faith-to reject the cross and embrace the world. But we must resist that-we must keep ourselves within the perimeter of God’s love as we do that looking to the unending mercy of Jesus to keep us and present us before God blameless. We must secure ourselves in the love of Christ by abiding in him, constantly fellowshipping with him and obeying his commandments. For nothing shall ever separate us from his love.
Further exhortation…
In order for us to fulfil this role effectively we need to be;
- be full of the Holy Ghost and Power
Rescuing men from hell fire, fighting for the faith cannot be done with the energy of the flesh. It involves an enemy, a stubborn Pharaoh, a strong man who will only yield to the superior power of God. Thus we must ensure we are constantly full of the Holy Ghost and power.
-be full of faith
In addition we must be full of faith-to meet the needs around us, to tap the resources of heaven, to do exploits, we must be men of faith. All the exploits the generals in God’s army did in Hebrews 11 was by faith. We must dare the impossible for God; if we must do exploits we must be full of faith.
-be full of love and compassion
It was love and compassion that motivated Jesus to preach the gospel, to heal the sick, to release the oppressed, to feed the hungry and raise the dead. He was so full of love and compassion. It moved him to travel from one village to the other, one city to the other, it was his driving force and propeller...like a fire in his bones that will not just allow him to sit down complacently or go about life insensitive to the needs all around him. We need God to set us on fire with such love and compassion.
Finally, I pray that God will strengthen us with his grace and mighty power to do his will and take our place in the kingdom and for all eternity.
That He will fill us with his love and compassion indeed and make us useful in touching the lives of men.
May He help us to be agents of change indeed, salt and light, role models and deliverers of our time having compassion, making a difference, changing lives and snatching men from hell fire in the name of Jesus!

Daring The Impossible for God

Daring the impossible is nothing new. A few men have been known to have a knack for daring the impossible. Do a quick check on most inventors and you’ll see men and women who believed they could achieve what others felt were not possible.
Electricity, the Telephone, Airplanes, just to mention a few. The list goes on and on, virtually all that we enjoy today was once thought to be impossible. The call here is however to dare the impossible for God. People attempt impossible feats for a variety of reasons; some do so for recognition while others dare the impossible just to prove they can.
The challenge before us here is to dare the impossible for God. This requires faith, not just faith but what I call blind faith. This is the kind of faith that Abram (Abraham) exhibited when God asked him to leave his father’s house and his family to a land He (God) will show him and Abraham obeyed even though he didn’t know where he was going (Gen 12:1). Abraham also displayed this kind of Faith again when he offered his only son Isaac as a sacrifice in obedience to God. (Gen 22:3), Abraham actually believed that even if he offered Isaac that God could still raise him up. (Heb 11: 17-19).
What would you dare if you had a 100% assurance of success? We need to have the kind of Faith the blind man had who obeyed an instruction from our lord and saviour Jesus Christ to go and wash in the pool of Siloam even though he couldn’t see. (John 9:7). The blind man could have insisted on his eyes being opened first so as to enable him find his way to the pool. He couldn’t see but he made his way to the pool. That’s Blind Faith.
Until you can become blind to the obstacles and difficulties that others see, you may never dare the impossible for God. When the entire army of Israel was seeing a giant called Goliath the young man David could only see an uncircumcised philistine standing before him. (1 Sam 17:36).
When King Saul, Ahiah the priest and the entire army of Israel (about six hundred men) were camped away from the Philistine garrison, Jonathan and his armour bearer charged into the camp of the philistine. (1 Sam 14:6) What would make two men to dare a thing that an entire army would not? Blind Faith!
When Moses and the children of Israel where trapped between the Red sea and pharaohs army, on their way out of Egypt, God simply asked Moses to command the people to move forward. God demanded blind faith. (Exo 14:15). Don’t allow the challenges and difficulties you’re seeing to paralyze you, move forward.
All through scriptures you see men and women who did great exploits for God via blind Faith. Esther, Joshua, Gideon, David, Jehoshaphat, Elijah and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Himself. When our Lord Jesus Christ stood at the tomb of Lazarus, they laid the facts before him. Lazarus has been dead and buried for four days, right now he should be stinking. But Christ was obviously blind to the facts. He simply went ahead and commanded Lazarus to come forth.
Ours is a generation with so much knowledge, we know a million reasons why we can’t do the things that God has commanded us to do, but those that God is searching for right now are the few who would move in obedience to God even when they have no clue as to where the journey will lead them-those who would exhibit blind faith.
In John 14:12, our Lord Jesus Christ said “Verily, Verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father”
You can’t do greater works unless you dare greater works, you will never do the impossible for God until you take the first step and dare the impossible for God.
God requires Blind Faith from us in this final hour. I dare you to dare the impossible for God.
